Big Bang Raised the Status of K-pop in the World


U.S. iTunes Album Chart ranked Big Bang's new album 'Alive' number 7 with the release of the album on February 29. Big Bang is proving that there is no dividing barrier between Korea and world market. This is impressive as this chart ranks the popularity of albums across all genres.

The same explosive response was shown on YouTube as well the music video of 'Blue' has now more than 10M views since the release on February 22. The music video was shot in the streets of Brooklyn, New York to target fans all around the world.

With this remarkable response on two most notable websites that represent SNS generation proves K-Pop branding is going in the right direction.

Fans are setting higher expectations as the group is to kick off their first world tour 'BIG BANG ALIVE TOUR 2012' in collaboration with Live Nation on March 2.
