Zac Efron makes a splash in Australia

The High School Musical heartthrob made a bigger wave than he expected when earlier this week, he was greeted by hundreds of adoring fans during a surf session down under. Zac Efron got his surf on at Bondi Beach in Australia to help support the One Sight Foundation, which works to provide eye care and improved vision through research and education all around the world.

Zac joined the surfing class as part of Oakley’s “Learn to Ride” promotion to help raise money for the charity, taking tips from pro Aussie surfers Layne Beachley and Tom Whitaker.
