Swizz Beatz Convinced of “K-Pop Success” in The West

Hip hop producer Swizz Beatz expressed wish to see collaboration between Rihanna and 2NE1.

Swizz Beatz at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul held a press conference on February 20 to discuss his plans of forming an alliance with Korean media.

Swizz Beatz stated, “K-pop stars have a lot of potential....... I found a new expression in K-pop. The world is open for new things and I think right now K-pop in Korea is leading in that area. I’d like to be the one to introduce that to the West.”

“My idea to bridge the world together with music starting in Asia and going to the West is something that is new, untapped and leading to the future of bringing the worlds together. And this partnership is the beginning in making a history,” Beatz said.

Swizz Beatz mentioned 2NE1, Big Bang, and even KARA as leading groups and singers in representing K-pop in Asia but can appeal to the global audience with help from the partnership.

Swizz Beatz has worked with major artists such as Jay-Z, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kanye West, U2, and many others. He currently has a business partnership with Korea’s Omen Media and has a new project in the works.
